Hello. I’m a composer and visual artist living in South Somerset, writing about my experiences, thoughts and research in composition and painting.
Here’s a little bit about me:
My music is performed, commissioned and broadcast worldwide. Transduction, complex surface relationships, asynchronous alignments, contextual, harmonic and temporal ambiguities, polarised intensities and a visceral joy of sound are all primary concerns.
….‘how sour sweet music is,
When time is broke and no proportion kept!’….
(William Shakespeare: Richard II, 5.5.42-9)
I’m Composer-in-Association with Chamber Cartel (Atlanta US)
and am proud to be a Sound and Music Composer Curator for the 2014/15 season.
I’m also fortunate to be Chair of DIVAcontemporary, a Dorset-based artist-led organisation committed to creativity and experimentation in the arts and practice-based research, working internationally, nationally and locally.
and a partner in SATSYMPH LLP making GPS-triggered new music and word user-directed installations for mobile devices
Much more information about my work can be found on my website.
