Who Can Sail? (voices and accordion)
Lyme Bay Moonrakers, a Lyme Regis community shanty group, partnered with Somerset-based composer Marc Yeats and electricbackroom STUDIO to compose five contemporary vocal pieces reimagining traditional sea shanties.
All movements in this piece utilise a graphic score apart from ‘Drunken Sailor’, which uses more traditional notation. The accordion part for this piece is only required for ‘Who Can Sail?’ & ‘Drunken Sailor’, and the harp part is improvised in ‘A Heave Ho’ and ‘Hilo’. 4+ singers can perform this piece. please contact Composers Edition directly to enquire about bulk discounts to ensure you get the best price for your requirements.
