in the warm, sandy lands 
bordering low-lying at and by the sea 
surge sufficiently to transform intensities 
and obsessions that 
invested with change and remembering 
become multivalent locations 
driving further observations of revealing and erosion 
that appear through time and 
by Suffolk seas, risings and storms 
  
the threat is imminent, but 
in mapping or recalling coastal landscapes 
owing to wind, waves, depositions 
and between relationships of cliff, beach and sky 
disappearance to something else can be perceived 
but perhaps only as further into the sea
